Re: Hard shoulder penality

I hate stop start on the car. I turn it straight off as soon as the engine is running.
It’s only a moment to get restarted but that easily stops you slotting into a roundabout or out of a junction.
It’s fine in traffic queues though but still becomes slightly irritating in a diesel.

Re: Huawei in europe and goggle aps

That’s an advantage with Apple. We have our phones and iPads linked so contacts, bookmarks, apps etc appear on all four. It works the same with Google and Android too, not only Apple. It'll be a software glitch with the Huwawei phones. Incidentally, Apple phones are made in China just like Huawei.....

Re: Hard shoulder penality

I do know Dixon was fictional
It was supposed to be a vaguely amusing observation.
But....back then they did just ‘have a word’. It’s too easy now with instant revenue enhancement.

Re: North America, First and Second.

A huge thank you for all the reports.
I have really enjoyed reading them, enhanced where I had been to the same places.

Re: Karcher pressure washers

We do have decent mains pressure here so I do have that advantage. Otherwise just a high quality bike ‘soapy wash’ and rinse. If water pressure is low, ...

Re: Hard shoulder penality

That sounds like the people who drove a few yards up a bus lane in a jam to get to there office, where they would have had to cross the bus lane anyway.
Too much income at stake to have some common sense and say ok this time but....

Re: Hard shoulder penality

Sometimes these things are a bit perverse and maybe unnecessary. Surely a stern chat would have sufficed. Unless you were doing 50. I was in a massive jam on the M25 some years ago after a bridge jump suicide. We had been stationary for about 30 minutes and about 6 miles from the incident and the gi...

Where does that leave the situation where the police can knock them off their bikes?
