Re: Speedshop

Just watched it. Excellent programme.
Let’s hope they commission a series - I’m happy with car content as well.

Re: Brexit finally happens

Party time.
Bong bong bong.

I remember when £100 was the most cash you could take out of the UK or travellers cheques. No cash machines then.
Aaaaaah. Those were the days...might see them again soon.

Re: Petrol: supermarket vs shell etc

Used to work for Esso in Distribution so I have some knowledge here. Not very many refineries in the UK now, biggest one in the South is Fawley, Southampton. Shell has a big one in the North West. Crude is distilled there and fed by pipe to various terminals and airports in the South, including mil...

Re: Short riders

Just think how far the ground is below us at 6’3. It’s a big drop from up there. I only have a 33” inside leg though so lowering the Husky has really helped. However, most of our lanes are through hedgerows so I can’t stand up anyway as I just get clouted on my helmet or in the face. By now, getting...

Re: Have great New Year

Happy new year to one and all, even those suckered into Dry January. ;) My new year resolution started early...having decided a couple of years ago that winter trail riding is just too miserable, either too cold or too wet or both, I had morning rides last Friday and this Monday. I’m knackered...

Seasons greetings everyone. Interesting comment on the Sealskins garyboy. As my poor old W2 boots were ailing, I wore my Sealskins for the first time in about 5 years yesterday in 5c Sussex. My bodge repair with Sikaflex squidged into the trashed instep seemed to hold up and I had Nikwax’d the boots...

Cash is king
Cash hasn't been king for a long time.
It is when you are scraping around to pay the rent, believe me.
And when you’re selling a bike or car privately.

Re: Travel insurance

LV= might be ok.
I was under 65 when I went to India but they covered me on a rented Enfield 500.
They seem a well organised and respected company so may well not worry about age so much.

Re: Sunrises and sunsets.

Looks colder than when my wife and I were touring Ontario and Quebec by car in September.
We’ve been tracking Saguenay weather lately...my god it’s cold up there!!
