Re: North America, First and Second.

In California we walked across dunes an hour each way to not see any elephant seals.
Two days later we saw dozens on the beach next to the car park near Hearst Castle.

Edit. Finally remembered how to spell Hearst.

Re: RST Adventure 2 waterproof boots

I was going to suggest a trip up to Get Geared at Leatherhead as you’re not so far away.....but their website seems to be half non functional. Are they still open for business? Thanks, I didn’t know they had a shop! Also got Helmet City near Croydon. With my weird feet, there is no point in buying ...

Re: RST Adventure 2 waterproof boots

Good point about the height. Thanks for the thought.
Difficult to tell bur flipping between images does make the Forma boots look a bit higher up the leg.

RST Adventure 2 waterproof boots

https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/252797 Anyone used these for gentle trail riding? Or are they a bit road biased? Named ‘adventure’ but described as ‘touring’. Quite a saving over the Forma boots and I am also inclined to go back to smooth leather rather than mud huggin...

Re: North America, First and Second.

I wondered how you got to Lake Louise so quickly....it’s not the one in Alberta! You had a better time in Tok than we did. Also, they must be on another road mending cycle but it was 21 years since we were there. Are Diamond Tooth Gertie's and the Theatre still going in Dawson? We went to a melodram...

Re: What3words app?

There is one big problem, particularly in the UK. It is reliant on a phone signal. Even it the supposedly well served south east, getting any sort of signal out of town mast range is tricky. Problem number two...it is reliant on a battery. By the time you have had a chance to get lost, sods law says...

Re: North America, First and Second.

32,000 meandering seems ‘fine’ but, some reason, trekking across Canada seems more of an effort than a trip.

Re: North America, First and Second.

While looking at the map of our little jaunt in Canada next month I thought I would look at the gap between Anchorage and Nova Scotia....
7900km!!! Google Maps laughingly says 3 days 14 hours...oh yeah?
Rather you than me.
What is your plan?
