Re: ABR Midlands Rally 2017 sign up thread (7th-9th July)

Not sure if I can make it for the weekend or overnight, but will try to pop tomorrow evening on the way back from a customer visit in Leicester (hopeful arriving in a cage and dressed up won't get me shot :)), or maybe do a day visit on Saturday.

HUBB UK

Simon, Thanks for the welcome: either greeting works. :P HUMM interests me, but maybe in a year or two. My first off-road experience was the weekend just gone. Lots more practice to go yet. Susan mentioned they were talking to someone about setting up a Spanish meeting. I'd definitely be interested ...

Re: HUBB UK

What a cracking weekend. My first riding event and loved every minute of it, and the ride home through the hills to the M4 was stunning in the weather we had. Looking forward to future events.
Many of the people I met said they were active here as well, so figured I'd reply here to say hi. :)

Re: V-storm 650xt tank bag

Probably not the right sub-forum for this. I have a Givi XS307 Xstream for my V-Strom and I think it's great. Has a clear map pocket in the top, which can house a phone/real satnav and can run a power cable through to the main section. The bag uses their TankLock system. If you're unfamiliar, their ...

Not sure if I'm missing something here but, other than financially supporting them, is there any reason you're buying and installing apps when you can access it all for free at sites like http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/ via your phone's browser?

getting old no idea how to ride a motorbike - could I go on adventure motorcycle trips

Absolutely this! My grandmother taught me this when I was young and she fought in the French resistance, so knew what she was talking about.

New guy checking in

What a lovely welcome, thanks! Either this forum is well populated with active members or the intro section and welcomes are more than just lip service. :) Brenhden: It's a 2013 V-Strom 650 with the adventure pack with only 5,000 miles on the clock. Did well finding a weekend warrior so close to hom...

New guy checking in

Back to riding after a few years off, planning to do some adventuring. Though taking it slowly as the basic road-only experience I have is rusty and only picked up my new (used) bike yesterday. :) Stumbled upon the ABR magazine by accident a couple of weeks ago - amazed to find there was an UK based...
