Re: Garage/Shed

https://www.tuin.co.uk/ I built a cabin from these guys a few years ago, excellent quality and fast delivery, choose a decent wall thickness then insulate it if you feel the need, we didn't bother. Only issue with this, log cabin, style is mounting anything to the walls, because the wood changes siz...

Re: 2019 somewhere warm

Was thinking last couple of weeks in July, maybe first week of August. Undecided whether to ride all the way down (boring) or catch ferry to north Spain (£) which is what I did when visiting S Spain a couple of years ago. More into a gentle potter around than blasting around the place.

Re: Destination Alps ( and some other places along the way)

Great write up so far.

I spent a fun couple of weeks this summer exploring the ski resorts round the Aosta Valley in Italy I've skied in over the years and it was strange trying to recognise places I thought I knew when they were all green rather than white.

Re: European breakdown cover

www.breakdownassist.co.uk

I bought single trip cover from these guys this summer but can't comment on it's effectiveness as despite my greatest efforts the Guzzi ran faultlessly, cover provided by Axca so had some degree of confidence.

Re: Leather gloves in need of TLC

Local stables / country supplies will have oils for treating leather tack, find it's brilliant on gloves and similar.

Re: Radiator technical advice

If a thin coat of paint is going to give you a problem then the corrosion caused by no paint will probably give you the same problem so I'd go ahead and give them a coat of matt black from a rattle can.

I wouldn't advise brush coating with hammerite however. :o
