i were out with dave nunns last month and his clutch on the 690 just gave up so suddenly and left with zero as in zero drive ..just thought it was strange ...ive had a few clutches wear but always with the usual warning and always managed to nurse em home ..all he was doing was rocking a bit on top...

I'm curious now, the friction plates in your photo do look to have suffered some sort of reaction, but your original analysis was that the springs have taken a set (they do look a lot shorter than the one you show alongside for comparison.) Was this a red herring and are the springs actually shorte...

Weird, I've fitted a few EBC replacements over the years and never seen that before, I wonder if the springs had somehow missed going through a stage in production (don't know if they are heat treated/annealed after forming ) Clearly something went wrong, but I think a bit harsh to say avoid EBC wh...

EBC clutch Failure

I fitted a heavy duty ebc clutch on the 20th September since then I have maybe 2 tanks of fuel under its belt This weekend it failed catastrophically on a hill climb The springs shrunk and plates shredded in the engine Hopefully I’ll get a good response from ebc but I wait to hear 7599542D-E6BD-457A...
