Re: Husqvarna 701

Think I’ve come to the reason why they have warped Went down to Phil’s this year wheee the clutch slave failed, we found a slave from an old blown up husky engine he had in his bike torture pit under the house. This permanently disengaged the clutch so we have to fabricate a spacer froma bit of his ...

Re: Husqvarna 701

Greetings, I love these technical brain teasers, so long as they are not on my bike  I had enough of that following a faulty ignition switch scenario  I dare say that you have looked through the internet but here is a selection of what might be some interesting links to checking if you...

Re: Husqvarna 701

Re: Husqvarna 701

I did have the dreaded slave failure, the dealer told me no need to replace the oil but I have anyway although about 1k miles later due to being in france. Yes I used the right oil. Could the middle discs be contaminated in fluid?

Re: Husqvarna 701

Greetings, I wonder if the problem might be with the clutch adjustment. I recall somebody mentioning that they traced their problem to an overfilled master cylinder or sticking slave cylinder piston :?: TTFN Hugh. Thanks Hugh but I’m not sure about this, reason being after I changed the slave after...

Re: Husqvarna 701

Yes they are the only sign of wear is paint rub. I’ve stumped up reluctantly for a full ebc kit, but I’m confused to how this will fix it as everything is within tolerance.. It could be just cheap crap installed by Husky. It wouldn’t surprise me so far the clutch is by far the weakest component on t...

Re: Husqvarna 701

So I’m about to have another gripe of this bikes unreliability. My clutch started slipping again. I replaced the springs a few months ago when it was slipping before which cured the problem My clutch plates tolerance is greater than 2.5 they are 2.67 The springs are tone within 31.5 and 33mm in leng...

I’ve got an alpine stars body armour with mesh and it’s great. Totally converted in summer
