Re: West Sussex ROW Management Plan.

Also of course there is the joined up thinking needed to join up our bike trails, 2 weeks ago I travelled 7 miles along a trail only to turn back at the end because of a disputed 100 yard section. These disputed lengths should be `automatically` proved and given to the obvious trail user.. possibly...

Re: House of Lords Select Committee NERC Review.

Did I notice the TRF Technical Director in the background?

Does anybody know why the TRF put up a Marketing Director rather than a ROW expert at this meeting?
Does this indicate a split in the ranks or was it looked upon as a meeting where too many people could be alienated?

Should we honour our heroes?

https://www.carolenash.com/biking-heroes The link above is to a Carole Nash web site where they are trying to highlight the work being done for the benefit of others. There is a person on this list who has been very active in trying to keep green lanes open to us all, he has worked tirelessly in thi...

Legally ride a closed lane

There has been various conversations of late about what constitutes a legal TRO and when it may be possible to ride such a lane without facing prosectution. I don't want to add to the grey areas of this topic, but the TRF have now found a way to legally ride a closed lane, bridleway or even possibly...

Re: TRF becomming Extinct?

2 of the current 5 directors of the TRF used to be in business together for a number of years...probably coincidence but just sayin' Found very quickly on companies house, looks like they were in business for nearly 7 years, one resigned in November 2015, about when they became a TRF dire...

Re: TRF becomming Extinct?

It appears that the directors have decided that nobody other than themselves or people approved by them will be allowed to put their name forward to stand as a Director and that no proposal without a director proposing or seconding the motion will be put to the membership. Scandalous..........is th...

Re: Job opportunity for someone?

Ideal candidate comes to mind.
Could that leave a vacancy at the TRF's top table? (thumbs)

Re: TRF becomming Extinct?

Apparently it is going to be death by a 1000 cuts or to be accurate failures to renew. It appears that the directors have decided that nobody other than themselves or people approved by them will be allowed to put their name forward to stand as a Director and that no proposal without a director prop...

Re: TRF becomming Extinct?

My membership runs out at the end of the year so I'll probably wait on the outcome before deciding whether to renew. If you're not a member you cannot vote (?) So you will not influence the outcome. The ruling junta are relying upon the majority of members not being assed about what is going on, th...

Re: TRF becomming Extinct?

The current situation takes some believing, reminds me of that famous musician Nero. The directors were too concerned about losing this jobs and removing posts from the TRF forum that they forgot to give adequate notice of the AGM, then tried to claim the rules they had set up allow them to do whate...
