Re: Trails around Lambourn Wilts

Salisbury Plain perimeter track and some of the permissive byways might be better on a big GS, even if the red flags are flying you can still ride a fair bit of the perimeter track (which is gravel). Thank you. Herman from this Parish gave me some routes around the plains and I have done a few of t...

Re: Trails around Lambourn Wilts

Thanks ! Hope you are well? My sis lives near Frome so I often visit on the GS coming down from Cambridge... The great thing about a bigger bike is I can cover vast distance on the motorway and then pick off a few interesting lanes where i fancy it. I dont currently have a trail bike but looking to ...

Trails around Lambourn Wilts

Evening all Heading down to Somerset this week on the GS. As well as maybe doing some trails on the plains I noticed a nice collection of byways a bit further north around Lambourn and towards Marlborough. Does anyone know this area and are any of these lanes not big bike friendly? I’m always carefu...

I love these bikes. Unfortunately not in a position to buy one at the moment but this is a lovely example. You could try the KTM forum. If not stuff seems to sell on eBay

Different horses for different courses and all that.
Doesn’t make the Tenere 700 a dog though.
Fair point sir ;-)

I would actually like to ride one anyway...... If I like it I could make my partner get her own bike :D

Bimble on the plains this Saturday.... 4th

I will be visiting my sister this week in Frome. I will head back on Saturday 4th and was thinking of a few hours on the plains before getting on the A34 heading north. Anyone local about who fancies a few hours on the plains or was going out anyway? Always nice to meet new faces.... I have a GS1200...

Re: The Yamaha Tenere thread

A dog? How fast do you want to go? I had a Tracer 700 and it would do 80MPH all day without fuss. I’ve ridden an F800GS, which had probably lost I few of the horses it left the factory with by the end, all around Australia, all over Europe and from the top of the Americas to the bottom. A few times...
