Re: Manchester to the Dolomites

Blimey, a lot of helpful responses! Thanks ABR.
I'll be using motorways on the way out and probably take the Eurotunnel, then gauge the route home from that. Something about Hull brings me crashing back to earth too quickly after a holiday.. Plus I may have to drop the bike off down south.

Manchester to the Dolomites

Hi all,
Google can only help me so far. I'm trying to get a reasonable estimate for time taken to get to the Dolomites (probably Cortina area) from Manchester. I'll not be looking to do any sightseeing on the way out. I ask you guys because, with work constraints, a relatively accurate estimate ...

Re: 2010 BMW R1200GSA TU?

I'm now looking at one of these too, but am new to the R1200GS world. What do people make of this one on gumtree? It seems cheap... https://www.gumtree.com/p/bmw-motorbikes/bmw-r1200gs-tu/1207614780

I'd be interested to know which R1200GS model people would recommend in that budget range - I'm ...

FS BMW R1150R

Hi everyone,

Happy with the engine but not with the touring capability, I'm selling my R1150R in search of an '05 onwards GS1200!

This has done 19,600 miles, three previous owners, full service history, panniers and Haynes included. As you can tell by the engine casing, this thing is in fantastic ...

Re: Parking in London

Some very useful tips everyone - thanks a lot!

I'm hoping the thundercat is both fun enough to ride and undesirable enough to not be stolen.. hmm!

Parking in London

I've moved to north London and am looking to get a sub £1000 bike to escape on during the weekends.

Parking - it will go in a front garden that is sheltered by a hedge but is easy for anyone to get in to. I'll chain and disco it, ?vut it won't be locked to anything. My question is, what are ...

Re: EU. In or out?

A Parliamentary system is representative democracy, in which we vote for representatives and they make the decision. You sing the praises of this system at the same time as criticising the Parliamentarian you presumably voted for and the referendum you clearly favoured.

A referendum is direct ...
