Yes it is! Under deceleration the clutch mechanism loosens, but under acceleration / load it tightens up, so can use lighter springs for a given amount of clutch "grip". Hi, Have you any more information (or a link) on the Husky slipper clutch please. Must be different to the one I was th...

Oh, the reason the clutch is so light for a 700cc is because its a slipper clutch, which means in normal drive conditions it locks itself up progressively meaning lighter springs can be used. Wow what an adventure :) It would be great if you rode to the rally, raced and rode back. I may be reading between the lines here but I think your after the adventure more that being competitive so go with the 800 BMW. Just because Mike would not take the challenge of riding the 800 does not make it...
