Any chance of asking your mate for any words of wisdom on the approach to this option?, did he just turn up/pre-book etc? I ...

Re: Norway: how to get to?

Some good pointers there guys, thanks. Those links have some stunning pics of the landscape up there. We've been mulling over a trip like this for some years, but the attraction to head south for warmer climes has always resulted in the alps. Hopefully I can convince the 'group' to take this up and ...

The further North the better, we're even looking at Aberdeen to Shetland, Shetland to Norway? Anyone any pointers for this? Hull, Newcastle?, Harwich does Denmark, but not i...

Re: glasgow meeting

Al thanks for taking the initiative for putting this meet on. Weather was indeed perfect and three of us took the Aberfoyle/Callander route towards Stirling, leaving Brian and two (three if you count pillion) returned back towards Glasgow. Good to see the numbers that turned out, and good show from ...

Re: OK how do you do it?

Paul, once you decide what you fancy doing, come over to my place and I'll do the handiwork for you. Amongst other things I am an electrician who's been messing about with autoelectrics for as long as I could drive. (the latter part being debatable  ) Maybe should read: 'since I had a licence...

Re: Scotland road map.

What's in Applecross?, I guess it does look pretty desolate, very good food at the Inn, but a road that has this as a warning is surely worth riding? Kind of puts the 'A' into ABR, in a tame tarmacadam sort of way... ;) IMGP4274.JPG Also, a completely different aspect from this is the six mile freew...

Re: Alps passes?

There is a fantastic little spot where you can do the Susten, Grimsel and Furka in one sweep. Maybe two or three hours riding as opposed to a single shorter pass, but these are truly awesome. Stelvio is good and it's nice to tick that box, but I've foung some of the 'lesser' passes more fun. But the...

Re: Scotland road map.

Applecross. But keep west, head to Stirling, A84, Fort William via Glencoe A82, then to Kyle of Lochalsh, absolutely stunning. It is that simple. Get to Applecross and back and you've seen plenty. If you have the time take a round trip to Skye, but you must go right round the island, the scenery is ...

Re: Capote deux

B) I thought the original post by Moto al was simply highlighting a concern he had and making the other general users aware. He placed a post I assume to have some sort of response from those who maybe did have the facts surrounding the matter. What did happen was that he was berated for asking or r...

Re: Its a done deal.

most of us that have experienced the charms of the big boxers do know what the attraction is, but it takes a few miles to appreciate the character. I've done about 150k miles on boxers and would not hesitate buying another, if they only done a sport touring version  Out of interest, which d...
