Re: If you're off to France tomorrow
We lost our electricity for about 36 hours, Weds/Thurs in the Haute Vienne. Lots of trees down, taking out cables. Arnie’s digger has been in great demand to help clearing roads as it has a grab. Our nearest neighbour still don’t have their electricity back on and in some nearby villages they are be...

Re: The new AJP PR7 Adventure
This thread was started in 2014 and I'm still not sure this bike exists.... Not sure the title is fitting any more. it exists http://www.ajpaustralia.com.au/pr7 http://motoajp.com/enduros/models-features/pr-7/ Looks good but sadly just doesn't appear to be available in europe at the moment, ironica...

Re: The new AJP PR7 Adventure
There are still Uk dealers who can get parts and supply new bikes if they can arsed to import them themselves. They also carry a stock of parts. So you don’t have to deal direct with the factory but yeah they’re pretty straight forward to work on.

Re: The new AJP PR7 Adventure
There aren’t any in the Uk yet (I don’t think) for a couple of reasons Firstly AJP currently have no Uk importer and secondly the price in gbp is not competitive. It was almost viable when the exchange rate was 1.30, at 1.13 it’s not. We visited the AJP factory in Portugal, in October and they’re ce...

Re: Which hotel booking web site do you use?
Like others, I normally don't book in advance, or even on the day, as I never know how far I will travel and when I want to stop. Last year, during my Four Corners trip, I used Booking.com for the first time: as I was getting close to a destination, I would stop for a break and look on Booking.com ...

Re: Which hotel booking web site do you use?
I use booking.com or Tripadvisor to find the cheapest price (and Best Western and Expedia for US trips), but will then check the price on the hotels own website to see if I can get it cheaper still. It’s worth knowing that Booking.com ts&cs state the property owners can’t undercut the booking,c...

Mix It Up - trail and road tours
So we are running a special offer at the moment and I thought it might be of interest to some on here. We are within a days ride of most of the French ferry ports. As well as our usual offerings of biker bed and breakfast and trail riding centre, we have a deal for this season which combines road an...
