Re: Trip round France in June anyone?
Here I am, sat in France on a wet Easter Sunday poring over... a map of France! Here's the route I've worked out so far: Tunnel
Arras
St Quentin Tergnier Soissons Château-Thierry Montmirail Sézanne Anglure Méry-sur-Seine Troyes (first overnight stop) Chablis Vermenton Montillot Vezelay Saulieu Arn...

Trip round France in June anyone?
Taking advantage of the double bank holiday at the beginning of June, my girlfriend and I have booked our ferry crossing (Dover-Calais Saturday 2nd June, returning the same route the following Saturday) but haven't yet made any firm plans about where to go. Gorges d'Ardeche maybe, the Dordogne perha...

Sorry, but I won't be there tomorrow. I'm still coming to the rally though.

I'll try and get there too, but I'm afraid it'll be on four wheels (unless I cycle!)

Re: Anyone fancy Normandy for D-Day in 2012?
Unfortunately it turns out I won't be able to go over the D-Day week, which is a shame (maybe next year).
However, the October half-term holiday is a real possibility. Watch this space.

Anyone fancy Normandy for D-Day in 2012?
There are two bank holidays in early June and they happily coincide with the D-Day commemorations in Normandy. So, who would be interested in a trip to Normandy, staying at my place in Cormolain and taking in some of the sights, sounds and flavours, not just of the D-Day event, but the area in gener...

Re: Any questions for Wild Camping's Jo Sinnott?
Not strictly a question, but I was amused by how squeamish she was about the "toro" being branded, yet was perfectly happy to tuck into a sausage made from another bull that had been killed. Given the choice, I'd rather be branded with a hot iron than turned into a sausage! (Speaking as so...

Re: Wild Camping on TV
True, there doesn't seem to be much focus on the bike, but then perhaps the title of the show suggests that it's not about the bike.
Looking forward to the French leg, though. Sunshine and smooth, empty roads.

Re: Suffolk or Norfolk Winter camping meet. Date tbc
I'm a possible, depending on dates.
Surely there are some campsites with showers still open? We might be the frozen east, but I'm sure there are still some tourists around aren't there?
I'm pretty certain the Camping Club site in Thetford is open all year round.
