Re: I've been out test riding new adventure bikes, 5 so far...!

Everyone to their own, but I was in a similar position during July 2016 and after a lot of reading spec's and checking out "real world" bikes bought the new revised model 2016 Honda VFR800X Crossrunner and have been completely satisfied with it since. In the last year I've covered 9,000 mi...

Re: Carole Nash

I've had a multi-bike policy with CN for a long, long time, but at last renewal they asked about modifications. All was OK until it came to my old Ducati and when I told them it had been resprayed from Blue to Black and Gold many years ago, they immediately wanted to increase this bike's share of th...

Re: NEW LICENCE

I was chatting to a returning Biker a few weeks ago and looking at his licence it appeared he didn't nee L Plates, but to the right of the Vehicle group Code there was a Note code that when checked online showed he could only ride Outfits.

Re: Hello from Somerset

To be honest they vary, sometimes if the weather is very good there can be near on 1,000 bikes while other weeks maybe half that. Mostly down to the weather but unless raining there is usually a reasonable turn out.

Re: Hello from Somerset

Thanks Guys. I'm in Bridgwater, and ride a '14 VStrom 1000. Good to see there are quite a few people from the Somerset and Bristol area. Hope to meet some or all at some stage. Hi Brewers I'm now riding a 16 VFR800x Crossrunner, let me know if you are coming to one of the Thursday night Weston Bike...

Re: Corsica

I went there in September 2015 and had a great time, roads are generally poorly surfaced and twisty though some coast roads were wide and well surfaced. They appear to measure distances in time taken rather than distance due both to the road quality and mountains / twists. Local car drivers didn't s...

Re: 20-odd year old 600 sports bikes are still bloody quick!

Have to agree with you all, the acceleration of my 15 year old Blackbird beats anything I've ridden before, is so smooth and handles well, so for £2K makes a great second bike.

Re: Route des grandes alpes

Hi, I went over Bonette in the middle of June 2016, there was low cloud and it was snowing hard near the C1 Loop, however the road remained clear but wet. If I remember correctly the Bike's ambient temperature readout was -3C. Good run though.
