Sidi Adventure Goretex Boots Size 8 (42) SOLD

Used but all buckles etc work, although one buckle is scuffed slightly. Loads of life left.

Usual wear marks on the toes. Good tread. The best Goretex Adventure boots you can buy IMO.

Re: Bargain!

Clicked on the link and it shows all sizes are discontinued.

Not that I need a new pair - the ones I have are 3 years old and have never leaked in 30k miles.

Re: Ktm adventure fuel economy

I have a 1190S and normally get around 50mpg average over a typical 200 mile ride. Just doing town work brings the average right down as you're inclined to use the grunt away from the lights.........

Best was 60mpg trundling up the M5 for 40 miles at under 70mph. Worst was 35mpg when I ...

Re: Falco Aventour or Forma Adventure Boots - Recommended or not

Sorry to have to buck the trend for waterproofness, but the 9 month old pair of Forma Adventure boots leaked catastrophically in France.

They hadn't seen much rain in the first 9 months but on a waterlogged return trip of 300 miles past the Millau bridge and up the Gorge du Tarn they were awful ...

Re: ktm 1050

I'm pretty sure the 1050 shares the frame with the 1190 and if so, the rear shock bolts directly to the swingarm with no linkage to be able to change.

You can get a different sized collar which you can put on the top of the shock which lowers it but I'm not sure by how much. You'd then need to ...

Re: Kaoko Throttle Stabilizer.

Same here. The KTM 1190 annoyingly doesn't have cruise control so this is the next best thing. It's fine on flat roads but remember it locks the throttle in one position, so if you go up a hill it will slow down and vice versa going down hill, unlike proper CC that will hold the speed steady ...

Re: Urgent - locked KTM pannier

Did they say how they managed to unlock and remove the case?

They were familiar with the problem as they'd done one a few days earlier and even had a spare barrel in stock, which must mean it's a common problem.
Drilled the lock and pulled it out I think but no idea how they released the ...

I had them check that out when they were balancing the wheel again and it all measures up fine. Bit of a mystery as to the irregular wear of the rear tyre.

Re: Urgent - locked KTM pannier

Quick update: got back on Thursday evening after having to get by with the pannier still locked.

Dropped the bike down to the dealer on Friday and they sussed early on it was the base of the cylinder having come adrift They replaced the whole lock and matched it to the existing key. Charged me just ...

Re: Urgent - locked KTM pannier

Can't get into the pannier without drilling the lock which I'll let my ktm dealer do when I return. There's a chance it will be covered under warranty as they were bought with the bike which is covered until next March. I can get by with what I've got in the topbox and have bought another t shirt ...
