Re: The next step....

Going over a gnarly, rocky or narrow tree lined bridleway or green lanes I've never wanted more speed from my eMTB than the 15mph limiter  You can of course go a lot faster downhill of with more effort. Newer motors even disengage or have very low drag which makes riding beyond the limit a lot ...

Re: A photo you took, today

Went up to Lyme Park on the eMTB early morning as it opened and it was empty of people. So I popped along to the Tower for a break

90C1DC65-6ECE-4386-9FAC-B73F5E167DFF.jpeg Does anyone have experience of this? Will the numbness fade? When will I be able to put a heavy lid on my head and bounce off down Devon’s pot-holey roads on a bike? Many thanks I don't want to divert the photo thread so I'll be brief... I managed to fly a ...

Re: Middleweight shaft drive bikes ?

Modern chains are much better than chains of old with a decent oiler (there are a few to chose from). I hardly ever bother with chain adjustment. Once or twice in the life of a chain that's about it. Even a crappy F800GS chain (known for it being rubbish) was only adjusted once in 11,000 miles. I di...

Re: Easy Rider

I remember seeing it as a teenager in the 70's and thinking aren't Americans weird. It was very much of it's time and place, which wasn't now and wasn't here. If you go along with the groove and rhythm of the film, the ending (which in my opinion is what the film is all about) is really shocking. Li...

That's a lovely example at a decent price.
You could also try Old Bike Mart. There's not much activity at the moment, wrong time of year.

Re: Pacemaker's owners club

My dad had one. Said he could pick up the shipping forecast - which was nice.

It's shit getting old, but the alternative is worse.

All the best ;)

Re: Petrol: supermarket vs shell etc

No, All my bikes have run fine on supermarket fuel and fuel from garages, all over the UK and Europe. Even my old Norton Dominator 99 (while I still had it) used to run fine on supermarket fuel. My CRF250 Rally has done just under 20,000 miles on mainly supermarket fuel (so I'm a tightwad[emoji6]) ...

That video is a real trip down memory lane, some names riding in that race. As gut-wrenching today as it was back then

Re: The next step....

Eco mode is good enough most of the time with Trail mode only being used on really steep climbs, but then I’m a regular non e-bike cyclist. I’m not sure why anyone would need Turbo mode. There are some sharp climbs on/offroad around the trials I go where a few seconds of extra oomph helps. I found ...
