What spring did you go with on the back bro ??
I'm needing a stiffer rate for my lard arse(110kg) plus the ability to throw some light camping gear on the back once I gusset and strengthen the subframe.

Re: XR400 is it any good ???
Steve, I'd love to fit a magic button to the XR and am just waiting for a TRX400EX Engine to come up at the right price
To be fair though, the XR starts first kick with the Mikuni pumper carb fitted even if she's been on her side for a nap.

Well, don't ask me why , but I've gone and bought another XR400 to keep mine company in the garage.
Actually, I bought it as a wee winter project to tidy up and move on in the spring of next year but it's in absolutely cracking condition.
Might just keep it to look at.

Re: XR400 is it any good ???
JB, I'm seriously considering a Voge Rally to bimble about on and do some TET. Took the Africa Twin Adventure Sport down the TET through France and 1000 miles off-road from Bilbao to Almeria. It's a cracking big travel bike but she's a tad heavy to lift when off-road 😮🤣. I'm thinking that the Voge 3...

Ha, It's now 2023 and I just stumbled upon this thread that I started 8 years ago 😮😜😎 Guess what I still have in my garage ?? All tricked up. Magura hydraulic clutch Arrow big bore headers Mikuni pumper carb Top end refresh which solved the oil consumption. Best bike I've ever owned, she's a keeper....

Re: Crash bars
+1 for Heed bars, exceptional quality and value.
My new steed came with bars from Outback Motortek and they also seem to be the dogs bollocks.
