Re: France bans the use of headsets.
I think it's great news. Those that are truly worried by the legal implications and can't ride (or seemingly live) without their ears being wired, won't go. More room for the rest of us. Excellent. Those that somehow manage to get stopped, caught and fined, will wish that they hadn't gone. Plod will...

Re: Im crossing Switzerland next week on the E35 - do I need a vignette?
I have travelled across Switzerland several times, stayed off motorways and have never bought a Vignette Which, whilst a fascinating inside into your riding habits in the land of Toblerone, is not much use as information to the OP, who wants to use a motorway, is it? Two pages about a bloody vignet...

Re: Best way to remember your ride/trip ?
I rarely take any pictures but I always make a note of the day's riding when abroad. It's nothing wordy, just: When and where we left from, where and when we stopped en-route, any glitches in the planned route (so that I can avoid them next time) and when / where we finished. I keep them all in a de...

Re: Dirty Roads
Depends on what you mean by dirty and happy. In the winter, I always wash the bike on my return if only to remove the road salt. I do this whether I arrive at six PM or midnight. In the spring (as it is now) I'll give it a hose over on my return to remove the road dust, previously dissolved salt tha...

Re: Google Maps remove Classic option :-(
For those that don't like the new Google maps and can't (or won't) use BaseCamp, you might like to have a look at MotoGoLoco, which is getting positive reviews..... but if I find MotoGoLoco better at some things, I'll give it a go, for sure. I've just tried MotoGoLoco on my iPad mini, using the sam...

Re: The Best Place For a Biker To Live In Britain?
Now live in deepest darkest Wiltshire which Is another great county for biking. The thread is not about the biking roads where you live. The whole country has got roads. Places with fantastic roads and fantastic mud tracks are two a penny but they also have their fair share of dreadful roads, too.....
