Re: Any advice how to ride with a broken 5th metatarsal on your right foot?

Ouch! Mine was a clean break but walking on it for months probably didn't help
Take it easy but as you don't need to change gear with it should be ok?
Mine hurt when I cycled with no weight on it so I guessed something wasn't right!

Re: Any advice how to ride with a broken 5th metatarsal on your right foot?

It healed but for a long while I daren't put bike on centrestand with right foot a...

Re: Pedal, ya bastard...

Dogs hate bicycles fact! Alsation on a lead lunged at me from the pavement the other day but I knew what was coming! Collie in a farm yard used to chase me up a track and to be honest it was a game until I wasn't in the mood one day, swift belt on the nose with a water bottle ended that game ;) Neve...

Re: Bmw new no maintemce chain

I had a BMW f800s for a couple of years, no messing with adjustment or cleaning/oil so a bonus although the belt should be replaced at 24,000 miles (I think?) Although I had heard of them lasting a lot longer, sure replacement wouldn't be cheap though! As for maintenance free chain hopefully of bett...

Re: Moto GP

Apparently it scared him and I guess he doesn't scare easily :o I can see why he still races, he loves it and how do you give up something you love so much. Hailwood retired, killed in a car accident, Hislop helicopter crash, McRae same, Graham hill plane crash, Nicky Hayden cycling, life is dangero...

Re: Opinions on SW Motech pannier system

Had a set on 800gs for 4 years and same on S10, solid fit, easy on off, locable fitting if you're paranoid, hardly notice brackets when they are off.

Re: EU. In or out?

As far as I know, an EHIC won’t get you flown home when you (hopefully never) crash your bike and need to be repatriated. Anyone who has travelled in the EU without travel insurance was taking a big risk. Granted, it’s handy for minor issues but it’s not the be all and end all. Essentially you were...

Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus

I have been irritated by all these people whingeing about needing a haircut. Hardly important is it? My wife had a had given me a couple of light trims but that was it. On the way to get some paint this morning my barbers was empty to I popped in..... ooooh, how lovely does it feel to have that hai...
