I finally pulled the trigger and put a deposit down on one just over a week ago (from CooperB) In three years I’ve gone from a 1200GS via a CB500X to the Himalayan and I’m looking forward to having a crack at some light off roading.

1st commute ... Chose a road that I knew I was unhappy riding on my 1200GS. Where I found the GS (& my VStrom 650 come to that) heavy to turn into some of the corners, the 500X just leans over with almost no input, PR4s gripping & the power easy to access. Even had a BMW driver being a dick ...

Great bike had mine a couple of weeks COG pretty low so great for my knackered hips Enough grunt to get you a in to & out of trouble Enjoy ;-) I've only got a problem with one hip, but I'll raise you a damaged calf and ankle, knee surgery and chronic loss of confidence after an accident Sadly y...

Anyone got a recommendation?
We've got a 2 night space in our planned trip to Austria & thought the area looked worth staying in.
We'll be travelling back from Malta (Austria) if anyone has an alternative stopping off point.
