I bought KTM 1290 adv R and think its amazing. Two mates got the 1290 S but have both had to get new fuel filters at only 600 miles and 1200 miles.

You need a carnay and it costs half the estimated value of your bike, you can then claim half of it back once out of Iran as long as you have all relevant stamps on your paper work when you leave. might be a bit dodgy going there at the minute if your American or British! You'll also need a visa.
