Re: Three Cross Motorcycles
Thanks everyone! Sure are some fancy prices on the Made In Italy site, such beautiful machinery. Well, mine also needs total strip down and correcting in a few places but I can still hop on her and ride 50 miles without too much worry. Hmm, famous last words lol! ;) Agreed, not the time to sell the ...

Re: Three Cross Motorcycles
Lived in Bournemouth back in '83 and used to love visiting places like Three Cross. Such a shame they will no longer exist, very sad. :( I can confirm that bevel drive Ducati's are making daft money now, I sold a 'project' 860 that we bought with a load of other bits last year for over £6500 :? Been...

Re: eBikes next
My two pence worth is that ebikes are a godsend! Bought a foldable ebike for the missus and now we can go out together on one of the many dedicated trails around here in Buxton. She never really liked cycling before but loves her ebike and actually asks to go out cycling now, wow! :o We easily avera...

Re: Guzzi V85TT
I've had a couple of Guzzis in the past, great bikes with soul, loved them. Think I'll try and have a test ride myself. Could this bike finally solve my "get rid of four bikes and only have one" dilemma? What puts me off striaght away is the compulerised technology which, in my view, is to...

Re: Solo or Group ?
Agree with most on this page. It's both for me but gotta say that the last few trips with a small group was a total disappointment cos on each trip there was someone new who was so slooooooooooooow! Each time I vowed not to do it again but it keeps happening. Might be doing a trip down to France whi...

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Yup, know where you're coming from, had many a big bike over the years but absolutely love my little XT225 with it's 90 mpg capability. Often wondered about putting adventure tyres on, instead of present knobblies, and do some high mileage touring on her. No reason why that shouldn't work. Although ...

Re: Speeding in Switzerland? £3200 Fine
Personally I think it's a bit sad.... But at least I have some great memories of crazy days carving up mountain roads before the crack-down began. Nothing can take that away. Pretty much mirrors my sentiments exactly. I now have older slower bikes, not only to tame my passion but to ensure I can ac...

Re: Looking a tent can keep in top case
Surprising very little in the way of actual recommendations on this post. I've got two large top boxes for my XF650 and VX800 but they aren't mega mega large. I manage to fit my 2 man tent (if you're VERY good friends lol!), 3 season sleeping bag, foam pillow, sleeping mat (essential!) and various o...

Re: Scotland to Russia and back.
Youch, that's about £6.80/gallon if my calcs are right. But then again, our prices aren't a million miles behind these days at just under £6 lol!
