Post Office credit card - last time I checked they do not charge exchange currency fees that some cards have.
Used last 4 years across Europe, just pay in local currency and let PO sort out the rest.

Re: Around The Baltic Sea
Thanks for posting, all worth a look. Enjoyed your trips around Sweden, should have been there this June but after 10 days of rain in Norway ( left uk in May) I decided to head home from Oslo back over the Oresund bridge. Will make a return next year but later in June/July and try the east coast of ...

Don't forget 10% of road accidents are caused by drunk drivers !!!!
90% therefore are caused by sober drivers!
Better to be safe, drive drunk?

Re: Norway
Been there 2014/2016 and now going again next month but having done the Atlantic road / Arctic circle / Lofoten I agree with quite a few of these earlier replies. No need to plan any route, just point the bike in the direction you want to go. There are plenty of camp sites, accommodation not a probl...

Re: Best alternative to fresh milk?
5 weeks and a day ( and I'm not counting either!) - off to land of open roads again.
Never had a problem buying fresh milk in Norway, semi skimmed, and you can add it to powdered tomato soup to improve it. Did try some coffee mate but rather not take and have black coffee.

Re: First bike you took onto the Continent
XS100E silver grey - 1980/81 but got robbed on the ferry because the security camera I parked under was 'not working' (who apart from crew would know that?) and all they didn't want was thrown across the car deck. Wife and I went to Port Grimaud, south of France and did have a good holiday after the...

Having gone through adventurebikerider motorcyclesport&leisure, bike, ride, mcn, performance bike too many to list....etc I was spending xxxstupid££ per month out shopping and monthly subscription. Have now gone over to the dark side, readly.com (they have a free/low cost trial) but for £8 per m...

Re: Fuel consumption
This was the result after a trip up to Arctic Circle and Lofoten Islands. I will say that 3000 miles across Norway were subject to plenty of 80kph/50mph limits but my BMW R1200RS ran well at low revs, high gears better than some sport bikes may like. It does depend on how the engine is tuned as conf...
