Our moto club (ADCM) organises annually a round of the French Hillclimb Championships....along with Des Nations and European rounds.

Our club is one of those clubs where we don't actually know how many members we have and that it's the same President and Treasurer etc etc each year.

It's free to join and lots do, to get the first round of paperwork on the ladder to get them a licence to whatever discipline they lean to.

No one votes on anything and if you don't like the way we run things you haven't paid any membership so you can leave or stay as you wish. We do have at least one AGM where we go on a bender.

My buddy Jean Andre is mad...he was French champion and was in the Guinness Book of Records for driving a car on two wheels for ages. It is he who has the interest to run this event as well as the enduro and road rides we head off on. He has a Harley Davison running on some whacky av gas type stuff.

You'll see pics later where we invited Team Kerry Peterson USA over one year with their KTM's....which were nice.

This year the event is on 20.08.17 and it's usually sunny. It can make an ideal stop off if you're in the region as part of a holiday. There's usually a big turn out.

The object is to see if you can get to the top of the hill. We set it up so it's usually impossible. A couple of years ago a rider got to the top....the first since 1984...so we had to make it harder. The last 20m are virtually vertical.

There's also a stock class if you want to give it a whirl on a MX/enduro moto.

Other than that you'll here see some mad pictures of the mad motos we've had over the years.

Being organiser has it's advantages....you can get to the top to have a wee peep and get to take close pictures.

It's brilliant, went there about six years ago, first time someone got up the hill in a while and the place erupted. camped in arrêté, which has a good restaurant/bar, well worth a visit. All best steve

I think I'll definitely have to make that - it's just up the road from me after all! So where are you guys with the C90's then?

Excellent...I remember it well....it was this moto of Fabrice that did it; I was at the top when it blipped up over the top lip.....his son was riding.

Glad you enjoyed it
