Manufactured in the UK from 3mm acrylic, the Skidmarx XT660Z screen measures in at 47cm – 8cm taller than the XT’s standard screen, helping to deflect more air away from the rider. Skidmarx’s XT hugger is made from lightweight GRP fiberglass and comes with an integral chain guard, to give under-body, shock and linkage protection to the large space between the rear wheel and seat.
The screen’s available in clear and tinted options (both £42.95) and if you fancy something, well, a bit fancy, then an extra six quid will get you a coloured one. It also uses all existing mount points, so there’s no drilling or fitting kit involved, which is a bonus. Matching headlight covers are available at £21.50.
The hugger comes complete with a fitting kit and can be mounted to existing points on the swing arm without modification. The standard black option will set you back £74.95, and if weight’s an issue, there’s an ultra-light carbon fibre version at £134.95. For more, visit the Skidmarx website.
