The Single Most Important Lesson Learnt
Travel light with an open mind.
People are kind -life is good-dont overplan
Stay in tent-dont eat out- cook yourself-save money-
This was my fourth big trip in Can-US-Alaska.
I flew into Saskatoon-Can
(from my homeland Denmark)and picked up my bike at my friends familys place. Was on the road next day.Went East Winnipeg-towards Thunder Bay-turned south and entered US at Duluth-drove north over the lakes -Detroit-went into the Apalasians-did the entire Blue Ridge Moutains-Smookey Valley-Headed South East hit Eastcoast at Savannah-followed the coast south to Florida-following the coast all the way to Key West- went back up the Westcoast of Florida( new reartire in Naples) going north throug Alabama(motorbikemuseum in Birmingham)heading Chicago-Oskosh WIsconsin -stayed there 18days for the Airshow(im a pilot to and i did 120some hours of voluteerwork) When the Airventure was over i was back on the bike to Chicago-hit Route 66-and did it all the way to Los Angeles-EPIC-AWSOME. Then i went up to San Fransico-my wife and girls flew in, and i parked the bike for 3 weeks and we went touring in a RV.
When the girls flew out i was back on the bike again.(thanks to Cruise America for storing my bike ) Then i headed North along the coast following HWY 1/101-all the way to Port Angeles WA. There i Took the ferry to Victoria , Vancouver Island,Canada-drove a few kms to my friends house and parked the bike.Trip over. Hung around for a few days-sorting things out-enjoyed the compagny of my best friends Carman and Sunny. without whom i could not do these trips.Thanks!
