Any bike can be an adventure bike, right? We could have simply opened a can of worms, but instead we decided to dedicate the latest episode of the ABR Garage, the podcast from Adventure Bike Rider, to a question that’s been debated at biker cafes, pubs, and by the roadside for years
In coming up with an answer, ABR’s James, Bryn, and Ollie delve deep into what attributes make for a great adventure motorcycle, both on and off road, as well as looking at those advancements of recent years that have enhanced the riding experience, along with some we’d gladly live without.
The boys also reflect on the adventure and non-adventure bikes they’ve ridden, both at home and abroad, such as the Ducati Multistrada, Honda Africa Twin, KTM 790 Adventure, Honda Gold Wing, and even a Harley-Davidson Ultra Ltd.
