I’ve been keeping an eye on Ebay GS’s for months and there’s usually between 10 and 20 for sale at any one time and whilst prices do appear to be dropping there’s not been any what you’d call bargains.

Well, as of today there are 46 BMW GS’s for sale on Ebay and most have not even received one bid.

And now, having consulted the sheep’s entrails, here’s my prediction….we’re in for a GS price crash over the next 12 months.

My best guess is that many of these bikes have been bought by born again bikers in the ‘good times’, when jobs were secure and well paid and house price rises meant taking out a chunk of equity (re-mortgaging) to buy a new GS was no problem.

It’s a lot different now though. So many people I know are bricking it when it comes to their job security, unemployment rates are up and going higher,  there’s a huge bunch of mortgages coming up to reset time over the next 12 months (bye bye low payments, hello poverty) living costs are rising and it ain’t going to get any better any time soon. Green shoots my arse.

So, there we have it, if you’re on the look out for a GS just hang on for a few months and pick up a bargain.

PS – I just may be talking a load of old bollocks here.
