Ex-RAF pilot makes history circumnavigating deepest lake on Earth

Adventurer and ex-RAF pilot Matt Prior successfully made history when he and his expedition partner circumnavigated Lake Baikal, the deepest lake on Earth, in a World War II Russian Ural motorbike and side car.

Matt and Australian, Dennis Malone took two weeks to complete the 1,550-mile journey facing temperatures as low as -30 degrees and winds of up to 80mph in the depth of the harsh Siberian winter.

Why is John McGuinness so fast?

A data project carried out by EMC Corporation has investigated just why John McGuinness (the Morecambe Missile) is so fast by attaching a range of sensors to both John’s bike and his person.

Testing took place at Spain’s Circuit Monteblanco with sensors measuring pulse, respiration, g-force and engine RPM to name just a few.

KTM 2016 Enduro Range Review - Which is best for green lane and trail riding?

Back in 1953 the Kronreif Trunkenpolz Mattighofen Company commenced motorcycle production, sometime later they embraced basic marketing principles and became known as KTM.

The orange boys from Austria are the dark horses of European motorcycle production. Having become the largest manufacturer in Europe in 2014, with revenues of 864.6 million Euro, they continue to totally dominate the enduro sector capturing a whopping 54.7% of the market. As a point of interest 2nd place goes to Husqvarna (part of the KTM family) with 16.1%. The rest, as they say, are somewhere in the dust.

The Honda Africa Twin is back!

Honda has revealed that one of the most iconic adventure bikes ever built will be making a comeback for next year, the Africa Twin.

Following the reveal of the True Adventure prototype at EICMA in November 2014 the motorcycle manufacturer has now revealed that the CRF1000L Africa Twin has been confirmed.

Bike Stop to kick off the 2015 biking season in style

The event will be ushering in the start of the 2015 biking season in style with guests including Leon Haslam, current leader in this year's World Superbike Championship and multiple British Superbike winner, who will be attending the show on Saturday 25th April and Steve Mercer, Isle of Man TT racer and winner of the Superbike Cup, who will be at the event on Sunday 26th.
