On the ABR forum last week...
Written by Rob Slade

With the start of a new week comes another look back at the week's forum activity. As well as the standard chit-chat about life and politics, last week saw discussions about overland routes across Europe, questions about any ABR members who own campsites and a video of an atrocious aquaplaning incident in Thailand. Check out the highlights below and see if you can help any of our members.

Watch: Jonny Walker performs the most incredible off-road skills we've ever seen
Written by Rob Slade

We all like to think of ourselves as awesome adventure motorcyclists, and while some of us may actually have the skills to eclipse our ego, the rest us often have to accept the fact that we're not quite as good as we would like to imagine.

Well, with that in mind we thought we would give you something to aspire to. Or maybe something to just make you feel rubbish about your off-road skills. This incredible video shows KTM factory rider Jonny Walker battling his way around the infamous Red Bull Romaniacs prologue course back in 2013.

Yes, we know you probably won't be taking on obstacles like this in the near future, but what an epic video!

Written by Bryn

Who says you need a big bike to have an adventure? Here at ABR we like to celebrate the fact that you can get out there on two-wheels and have an epic trip no matter how big the engine is. It may take a little longer to get to your destination on a 125 but hey, it's all about the journey and not the destination, right?

Well, that's exactly where this feature comes in. For those of you who are new to riding and only hold an A1 license, or even for those who just want to try out something smaller before plumping for a hefty 1200 GS, here are 10 of the best 125cc adventure bikes.

Video of the week: Riding India's treacherous mountain roads
Written by Rob Slade

A motorcyclist from India has taken on one of the most dangerous roads in the world and captured it all in glorious high definition. Carved into a cliff face with nothing but your own intuition between you and a colossal fall to the valley's floor, this is a road that is not to be taken lightly.

Fortunately, Charanpreet Singh took it on so that we don't have to and the resulting footage shows just how treacherous the road really is. Check it out by hitting the 'read more' button below.

BMW S1000XR Vs Ducati Multistrada 1200S
Written by Rob Slade

As a raft of exciting new metal in showrooms fall on the sportier side of the adventure sector it’s clear that adventure sports bikes are answering the needs of many.

Countless riders who are perhaps trading in their sports bike for something that delivers similar performance with the added bonus of increased comfort and practicality have seen sports bikes such as the Yamaha Tracer move quickly up the sales rankings.

It’s understandable why too. Those who have no off-road aspirations can enjoy the same comfortable seating position and added features of an adventure bike while still keeping hold of exceptional speed and handling. So how do two of the biggest players in this market stack up against each other? ABR has a look...

Everything you need to know about riding in Cambodia
Written by S P Lebombwe

Cambodia has become a hot destination for adventure riders in recent years and for good reason too. The locals are exceptionally welcoming, the weather is fairly reliable during the non-monsoon months and there are so many options of graded red dirt roads and serious single lane jungle tracks.

The result? A riding destination that is unsurpassed for that absolute feeling of freedom you get when riding the exhilarating trails that the Kingdom of Wonder has to offer.

But how does someone go about heading out on an epic Cambodian adventure? We spoke to self-confessed Buddhist dirt biker and organiser of The Red Dirt Tour, Tim Highfield (a.ka. Red Leader) from Mototrails Ltd to find out more.

Written by Rob Slade

As the nights draw in and a brisk chill starts to fill the air, it’s time to prepare ourselves for winter. For some that means locking the bike away in the garage while waiting for better weather, but for others it means donning their winter gear and hitting the road.
