Watch: An epic tour of Central and South America in under 2 minutes
Written by Bryn Davies

We all love to ride, and we all love adventure bikes, but for most of us it's hard to find the time to get out into the wilderness and see the world. Work, family and finances all do their best to keep us at home, so it's exhilarating to see videos of those who are out there and doing it.

And if there's anyone who knows how to put together a video that makes you want to get out and ride, it's Tolga Basol. This guy's been riding around the world for two years now, covering just shy of 26,000 miles on his KTM 1190 Adventure R, and throughout his journey he has been putting together some pretty awesome clips. This one gives us a quick run down of touring through Central and South America, showcasing the incredible scenery, the exciting roads and the many river crossings that Tolga had to battle with.

Watch what happens when you put a motorcycle helmet in a hydraulic press
Written by Bryn Davies

When Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web we were gifted an incredible tool that would allow us access to all of mankind's knowledge with the tap of a few keys. In true human fashion, instead of taking advantage of the offer, we used it to find cool stuff like this, a guy crushing a motorcycle helmet in a hydraulic press.

It appears that over the last year or so, flattening everyday items in an industrial Bramah press and uploading the carnage to the internet has become a popular and lucrative pursuit for some YouTubers.

Watch: Motorcyclists flirt with death as they ride insane clifftop trail
Written by Rob Slade

There’s no shortage of videos on YouTube showing footage of motorcyclists tackling gnarly off-road terrain, but every now and then we tend to stumble upon something that literally takes our breath away.

This is one of those times... The video in question follows three amateur enduro riders who take a wrong turn and end up riding a gnarly trail on the edge of an enormous cliffside drop. These guys must have balls of steel.

Is the Stelvio Pass Europe's most exciting road?
Written by Alice Cook

It's a road that's on most biker's bucket lists, and if you've ridden in the Alps you've probably taken a diversion to ride its many hairpins. Alice Cook tells us about Italy's famous Stelvio Pass.

Watch: First person view of a tank slapper at 145mph
Written by Bryn Davies

Tank slapper. Two words that strike fear into the heart of any motorcyclist. The phenomenon occurs when the front tyre becomes airbourne for a moment and then regains traction outside of the rear tyre's alignment. Oscillations from the front cause the wheel to thrash back and forth, throwing the handlebars from side to side and making the bike buck violently.

In serious instances the ferocity of these oscillations can be enough to rip your hands from the bars, and your feet from the pegs, and that is all too often accompanied by fatal consequences.

Watch: Tiger 800XCx takes on mountain bike
Written by Bryn Davies

When it comes to close control and technical riding skills there aren't many out there who are better than Kevin Carmichael. Since 1997 he's been performing mind boggling stunts and tricks on two wheels, and we were able to witness them first hand on the recent press launch of the Triumph Explorer 1200, when Kevin made the beastly adventure machine look like a trials bike.

But now he's taken to YouTube to display his credentials as he races Lewis Summers, the 2014 Senior British Down Hill Champion, along the tricky Nevis mountain bike course.

Discover Britain: Touring the beautiful South & South East Coast
Written by Bryn Davies

Throughout 2016, with the help of TomTom we've set out to map out a series of weekend rides around the coast of England and Wales that can be linked up to form one epic, week-long circumnavigation of our home countries.

Our first instalment, in issue 32 of Adventure Bike Rider, took from Cardiff to Snowdonia, while our second route saw us exploring the incredible scenery and landscapes of the South West Coast. Following on from where we left off we've ridden the south coast of England, from Exmouth all the way around to Faversham on the north coast of Kent.
