ABR's weekend ride: The Cat and Fiddle (A537)
Written by Rob Slade

This week’s featured road is fairly well-known among motorcyclists, drivers and local emergency services, but even so, it still deserves a place on this list.

The Cat and Fiddle (A537) is widely considered to be one of the most dangerous roads in England and there have been many accidents and road closured along the 12-mile stretch. You shouldn’t let that put you off though, as long as you’re not stupid and careless, you are likely to avoid an accident of your own.

5 things we would like to see in a Long Way Up series
Written by Rob Slade

Since Long Way Down finished in 2007 the rumour mill has been constantly churning about Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman taking on a third series with a final major trip on two wheels.

Charley has been suggesting there may be a new series in the pipeline for years and rumours point to a Long Way Up through South and North America. There's no guarentees it's going to happen soon (if at all), but if it does, these are the five things we would like to see in a new series.

6 of the world's most extreme and isolated roads
Written by Bryn

Across the world there are certain roads which get the juices of adventure bike riders flowing. Roads where extreme isolation, life-threatening weather and dangerously poor riding conditions all come together to create epic journeys that only the most skilled and brave riders dare embark upon.

Whether it's traversing the Siberian taiga through knee deep mud or crossing the dunes of the Sahara in temperatures that would make the Devil himself sweat, these roads take you through some of the wildest areas of the world, where a punctured tyre could mean death from exposure, or a medical emergency means riding 400 miles to find help. Below, we've rounded up six of the most extreme, isolated roads in the world.

Video of the week: Motorcyclist attempts to cross flash flood
Written by Rob Slade

This week's installment serves as a word of warning for any plucky motorcyclists who get tempted to cross a flash flood, or even a fast flowing river. We applaud the spirit of Michael Henao as he attempts to make the crossing in Boulder, Colorado, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Watch below and let us know what you think in the comments!

What to look for in your new motorcycle jeans
Written by Bryn

With the riding season in full swing and the dark, cold, damp and depressing winter behind us it's time to start preparing for warmer weather and better times on two wheels. Standard textile motorcycle jackets and pants are great at providing weather protection and leathers offer the best in terms of protection, but neither are particularly comfortable when it comes to riding in higher temperatures and they don't look so great when you're off the bike. That's where motorcycle jeans come in.
