hi mate yeah ive done hazel wood good trail, the tkc 80 is a cracking tyre im getting 4k ou the rear and near on 10k from the front i done a euro trip on them last year with some serious off roading and them handled superbly and i probally got another 1k out the rear when i got back.In the dry on tarmac they are as good for grip as any road bias tyre and in the wet ive had no issues with them at all,in the wet off road they are ok but once you get in the northants wet clay they clog up fast but other than that they are brilliant

interesting thread mate. i have seen your threads about trails in northants area before and think ive seen you about. zappa and me ride teneres and live in northampton too. tried out silverstone and morton pinkney? area over bank holiday but some routes still have tro on them. have you done the hazel wood one? sure you must have. thats the sort of lane i like. which brings me to my question, we have only ridden dry lanes due to tourance tyres but i will need some new ones after scottish trip first week in june and am considering some tkc80 but wondered how well they wear on the tarmac and if its worth it . the tourance are great on the road and to be honest have no trouble on dry tracks, just limits your season a bit.

Hi, I was thinking of posting a thread inviting ABRs to join me on planning a Morocco trip around may 2013. But after reading the way your thread went I'm not so sure if it's worth starting another. I have the same idea as yourself, some of road in Morocco and where ever I go my bike go's Are you still intending to do the trip? If so what time of year and would I be able to join your group? Can't get any of my mates interested in going, I have contemplated going on my own but this would make off roading risky and would be lonely as I am a social type. Would be riding a F800gs by the way with appropriate tires! Cheers Arrif AKA Rif Raf hi mate you would be more than welcome but,we are discussing another trip maybe instead of morroco it would be going to nordkapp from the uk then from nordkapp onto the stella rally in italy going through russia poland etc, Thanks for that, sounds great but going to try and complete my Moroccan dream next year. |
