Hi folks, I'm on my second AT, like to hookup with a few other AT riders. I've done Morocco a couple of times, past Merzouga to the Algerian border. We did a blog 1st time (google - Ashton to Zagora) have a look. I was in Morocco this Easter in a truck! (2meninatruckblogspot) And it rekindled the need for another AT. Glad to join up wih the ABR group. Happy trails
Mike

Hi guy's,
Been biking since the age of 4 and now in mid 40's and apart from my old 1976 Italjet 50cc "twist and go" the Africa twin is the bike to have with out a shadow of a doubt! I have owned a new RD04 and now on a RD07A which is being transformed with help from Jonathan at Rugged Roads......check him out he has lots of good stuff for serious AT fans and other ABR's too! Live near Plymouth so let me know if there are any guy's in the area? Tommo

Hi y'all, Steve T Here.
Got one, had 3 before it. The first, a 1993 RD07, arrived as a basket case project in the winter of 2004. Sorted it out over the winter, sold it to the local vicar in the spring of 2005. Since them I've had a 1994 '07 (currently residing in the next village with a mate of mine), followed by a 1996 '07A (currently residing in a nearby local town). Current @ is a 1999 machine that was originally destined for the Netherlands, so it's colour scheme isn't one you see very often in the UK - sort of Forestry Commission Green & Yellow. This machine is the best I've had, coming to me last year with only 16.5k miles on the clock, from the original owner. |
