I discovered the GS a couple of years ago after riding nothing but sports bikes for years. I found myself doing less miles each year with my previous bike (Aprilia RSVR) making excuses why I shouldn't go out on it but when I bought my first R1200GS I couldn't keep off it. I now have a 08 model GS which I love. I've upgraded the exhaust, de-catted it and then took it down to Hill Top for a remap and what a difference that has made. The GS is a top bike and does everything I want it to do and is the perfect bike for B roads and back lanes which I spend most of my time on. Myself and two friends have just recently started a tour company with the aim of taking others and showing some of the best roads in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. What a difference the GS has made.
