What options are out there for kids to ride a motorbike, other than entering competitions? ie: Enduroland

Where are they and what do they cost?

I live in Northamptonshire.

Thanks

Re: Enduroland etc 11 months ago #145712

There's a few local mx tracks about that have kids tracks or sessions for kids

i trust you been onto the enuroland website? keep an eye out on their website or join their facebook page to get news on upcoming events.
enduroland isn't a race. they do KADS ie 'kids and dads' as well as adult new rider days. they are mostely held on the saturday before the main adult practice day. occationally enduroland hosts another clubs race meeting but they do not do race meeting as such, only practice days.
they pretty much have that area covered. there is enduro kent near brands hatch and enduro uk up north.

Yes, I've been on Endurolands website, I was more after what other options were available. Thanks

Whaddon is always an option, they have a MX track there but also allow you to roam around the land, I believe some of the Enduroland events have been held there in the past.

mmm i wouldn't recommend whaddon for a new youngster as there is no marshals, medics or control at all. nice place to ride though.

Just south of Redditch is this place Little London Enduro Park that has an enduro track for kids and one for adults and bigger kids. It's basically some farm land that has been turned into an enduro course, not an MX one.

It costs £20 for the day and is open every 2 weeks from end of March to end of September. Think something like that would be ideal for kids as the kids track (from the photos) looks decent and appears to be well Marshalled.

i might check that out as im only in Worcester. When you say enduro track do you mean twisty, muddy 250cc terrority? or any off road bike?

Re: Enduroland etc 11 months ago #145805

I think it's more twisty 250cc track than any bike, but there have been ktm adventures there in the past apparently. I've never been myself but might pop along one time to have a look.

Do this place allow motorbikes on the 4x4 track does anybody know? That would be much more of interest to me than going round an MX track.

Re: Enduroland etc 11 months ago #145974

When its not running enduro events I think its a free for all.

That sounds great in theory, but I wouldn't what any of my little ones learning to ride in an area where there are 4x4s quads and crossers all going in different directions.

Enduroland is running a bikes and quads test day this weekend so you can see if your little one enjoys it before shelling out for all the kit.

I was thinking about myself on this occasion. I agree with the post above that Whaddon doesn't look suitable for younger kids.

It does indeed, so long as you stay within the boundaries of the farm you're free to go absolutely anywhere.

Cool! That will be £20 well spent I think.
