Due to the arrival of the TORRENTIAL RAIN, is the midlands rally still going to go ahead regardless?

Well, I´ll be there even if I have to hum ditties to myself on me todd in an empty feild - but somehow I think there will be others. If you build it, they will come...

Pat

Edit: Oh, I´m still moving around at the mo - currently in south Wales where the rain came down very heavy this morning, but cleared by lunch - when the sun came out and dried everything up in an hour. Looks like showers and sunny spells, rather than a washout for the weekend?

Should be fine. We've had rain most of the day here in S-on-A, tomorrow doesn't too bad, weekend about the same.
BBC website says showers up to & into the weekend, iPhone weather app says sunshine 26deg

What's more fun than spending a weekend camping in a damp field?

Forecast looks ok for Saturday and Sunday.

It's a proper field - they are designed to be rained on sir... and the approach track is firm and stood up well to the rain last year with no issues.

Besides a little mud adds to things in an "interesting" way

Yep, but for example one of the previous meets got cancelled because of standing water (must be a down south thing). I was just checking !

Look out for the banner. Coming from Halford, just past an old knackered wind turbine, over the brick bridge, right at the banner & follow the tracks.

See you there.

So much for expecting a roll up ready and waiting for me then ! Me an' Husabang will be there about midday. At least he smokes, so I STILL won't have to buy any baccy ! Laters Bro' (I'm going earlier as the other half couldn't face having to use portaloo's all weekend ? )

I just put new tyres on my bike today, and have a couple of worn but legal (just) TKC80's now strapped to the bike. I could bring them for any one who may suffer a puncture over the weekend. Don't fancy draggin' them around all weekend though. So if any body wants them (free of course)? say now and I'll bring them with me.
