I've done the Ox in my Landry many time son the winter that looks as wet as I've ever seen it! At least you stay dry (relatively) on a Landrover

Guys (n gals). What's the chances of the campsite flooding and 50 canvas arcs sailing to IOW? Any local types out there know of flooding in Lymington? It's a longish way to come from Kent for one day.
Size is NOT relevant.

Hi all...well good thought about flooding...
will call site owner next week unless Jim beats me to it..

But the site is on Gravel undeneath so ffee draining and its flat and about 50 ft from the sea...so not in a valley.
last year it was dry then rain all day but apart from cars muddy tracks it was fine..
DOWN here f days without rain and its back to normal...

Have a nice time Russ - I'm down there the same weekend at Rustington on a family wedding thingy - how cruel is that - gets me brownie points though

See you at the Midlands

AND FOR THOSE WORRYING ABOUT LIST UPDATES...

no need to worry as Jim`s a little busy right now... just turn up as we couild fit 200 in if need be but I expect the "wossys" aka dry brigade wont turn up if its wet

Hi guys n girls,

Finaly got round to editing page1 please let me know if I've missed anyone.

Apologise again for not being here much, trying to get a new business of the ground so thats taking all my time at the moment.

Thanks Russ and Craig for standing in for me also Herman and Orlando, pretty sure we are going to need all that wood to keep us warm or even build an Ark

I'm going to speak to Wing at hurst view now to get some advice on the ground conditions there at the moment.

Kraut, I have a brand new, shiney, spanking sticker for you.

good luck with the new business jim

does it really matter if the list is super accurate? this is a pretty free wheeling campsite, come one come all, no bookings

Thanks Dave,

No the list doesn't need to be accurate, only a rough idea of numbers. The campsite guys are really chilled out, which makes a pleasant change to some over PC sites I've been to.

I'm of the same thinking not to over organise things just let it happen. Same with the rideouts, things always change on the day.

that surprised me last time, campsites in this country are usually so anal about fires, BBQs, etc, this one encourages you! (even getting more than 4 single sex bikers in a campsite is a struggle!)
is the owner ['clive' rings a bell?] coming on a rideout again?

Yeah they are great people. Roughly 110 people booked up so far

Clive is RTW2009 of this parish, a local dude from Lymington.

The lady that owns it is Denise and her family. Then you have the main man Wing who keeps everyone happy

Couldn't wish for a better venue really
