Next event is the Rydale Rally in North Yorkshire on 7th/8th July, unfortunately it has been full for a while.
After that it's the Beacons Rally (South Wales), 11th and 12th August, still open for entries HERE
Then there's the Dawn to Dusk on 25th and 26th August (Bank Holiday Weekend) enter HERE
Hafren Rally is on 30th September, entries not open yet but will be HERE
And last of the year is the Cambrian on 13th and 14th October, entries do not open until the week after the Beacons but will be HERE
Nice video, thanks for including my little lying down episode

90 on a fire road is excellent fun. one of the guys on a 690 got it to 105 indicated on one of the faster sections.
That is fast, best I managed was just over 80, and that was only for a short burst.

Blimey........fastest I've ever done is 85mph down a fireroad in Thetford Forest, in an enduro

I've got a maximum speed setting on my Trailtech speedo and it recorded 79 mph on Saturday and 81 mph on Sunday.
Don't think I could get much quicker as flat out on the road it tops out at 88 mph. That's on 15/42 gearing, I run 16/42 on supermoto wheels and it's good for 110 mph
As for my lying down incident, I stopped at the edge of the road and didn't realise the ground beside the tarmac was six inches lower, result an embarrasing incident and a broken clutch lever (luckily only the ball off the end so still able to use OK).

Good to see some indicated speeds, I hit a gps max of 83mph at the k2 on my 640 adv, 15/42 gearing.
Great video.

Which rally is best for a newcomer chaps? I love riding off road but I won't be seeing anything near the speeds you recorded and don't fancy being a mobile chicane
I'll be entering on a 990 if I do give it a go..

I would say the sweet lamb sprint in april, the hafren in sept (which is also at sweet lamb but uses some of the hafren forest or the cambrian (i've not done the cambiran yet but its supposed to be very big bike friendly)
the thing about the events g00n is that it's just a great place to be and really good fun. You ride at your own pace. I'd also suggest doing a weekends training with burt and moly before you do one, it's invaluable.

yeah what mike said gooner... or there is a BBRC adventure rally in september which is a bit more navigation/green laning and might be a good place to start. but really, everyone was going at their own pace and the special stage is the only place people were impatient to get past others...

Agree, all go at whatever pace they feel comfortable with. But be warned , its adictive and your comfortable speed will grow in no time until you are pushing the limits of what you and your bike are able to do. Great fun.
Just enter the next available one and give it a go. If its not for you just pull out at any point, theres no pressure and I know a few people who pulled out at Kielder, or finished the first day but didnt want to go out for the second.

I did the Cambrian last year on my 950adventure, it is do able on a big bike, but the conditions last year were good, it could of been a real chew.
Wouldn't reccomend it for a novice on a 990, on a lighter smaller bike anyone could get round, the big bikes need abit of handling and determination to get through the tricky sections.
Kielder, is easy, not done any others so can't comment
