Okay ....

so we have plenty of Interest ...and it really needs someome one the ground in the area as these events take lots of organising..

things we would need..as per normal Abr rallys..

Toilets with shower and wash facilities that can cope with the number of people attending..

A local village with food available ie : supermarkets and local grub places..typical French would be great..small and intimate are normally friendliest.

Road ride out routes and either local ride out leader`s or gpx files to follow/ road routes..

Same as above for the Trail rideouts..either enduro or big bike with likely conditions as some big bikes can ride enduro lanes..

I know Northern France is near by so great for a weekend or long week and "philinfrances" place is well over 450mls away so a long slog for a weekend but well worth the effort and I`ve done it a few times based on 5 days and its brilliant roads and trails and weather too..

maybe people can say what they would like .?

Distance ?
4 nights or more?
Roads or trails?

In Northern France the camp sites dont open till June where as south they open in May but they have lots of holidays in May so its busy..

The spanish meet was max 35 which was a nice number and atmosphere..so I think that is a good number..

over to you people...as we all put in we get something out

I'm right up for this and like you say Russ "folk wont be disappointed" BUT it's going to take a month or 3 untill we get sorted in our new place!!

Toilets ................massive field
Showers.................it'll rain sometime

Seriously !!! give me some time and i'll start patching something together.

How about combining it with the 'coupes moto legendes' near dijon in may? camping is laid on, but we stayed in the municipal campsite up the road in a place called st sur-l'abbaye.

I like the Idea of teh ABR France, if you go to ACSI site you can camp out of season May, on some sites, & some take a larger booking, approaching a camp site out of season shouldn't cause a problem, last place I stayed at they even wavered the tourist tax
Im up for it, if we have details in advance I can try to book off leave for it.

We are the Pilgrims, master; we shall go Always a little further: it may be Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow, Across that angry or that glimmering sea.

Mid May sounds good to me , may have a roof on the house by then no really that gives me loads of time to sort stuff out , but don't expect anything like Simons HISS paper work i'm only a brickie for fcuk sake

The road stuff is really easy to sort out , road Nos, towns and sites to see and there's loads of it.

I'll have to learn how to use a GPS for the lanes !!! even though i know all of them they're impossible to describe !!!

OK without spending a bundle and one that does WAY POINTS which GPS do any of you recommend ????

I'm also up for a ABR meet up north and Britfrogs ................well i'll go anywhere really.

Bring it on

Phil
