I'm probably one of the first members of this site and i've seen a few changes since then.
Things like this tend to evolve with time and use, the best way i think.
As others have pointed out, it's a nice welcoming comfy place to be.
I feel i have my own stool in the corner of the bar.

From the first moment I logged on to this site it had a feel about it, that was simple yet different. I like the layout and feel of the forum. I think my message is keep it simple.

My only request is maybe a better range of smilies

A brilliant effort Alun, thank you.

I like the site too and find it very intuitive to use already.

Having a favicon.ico file might be handy (so we get a little icon specific to the site in the browser address bar and bookmarks - this makes it a bit easier to spot the link at a glance alongside any other bookmarks). You can make one very easily here: www.favicon.cc/

The width of the forum seems a little narrow to me perhaps. There's a lot of wasted screen space on the left and right on larger screens. Perhaps if it was set to a percentage of the screen width rather than a fixed width it would feel a bit more roomy (but then that might just be me as I'm more used to wide forum displays and I'm sure some people will prefer it narrower so you probably can't please everyone - unless it's something that can be selectable in the user profile).

A few more smileys might be nice too (missing the thumbs up smiley here

Definitely. Looks lost on a wide screen display.

How's this for a wider forum? I could also make it 'float' to fill a full screen but that would mean many of the other pages on the site distorting.

Working on the upgrade for the forum right now so if anything weird happens this afternoon you know why.

We've just had a 1-hour power outage here.

Can we put that down to you?

Not to sure if this thread is still relevant, but I've been browsing the forum for a couple of hours now, and the only thing I find awkward is the posters name being on the right.
The rest is brilliant nice layout easy to navigate and read.
