Comfy and very economical (were talking 70plus mpg with mixed riding)
Heated Grips and 12v socket.

The GS is owned a ridden by my wife. We bought it from Astles in Grimsby where it was pre registered so Kirsty is the second owner. First reg 13 / 10 / 2009

I used a library photo of the bike as its currently in Scotland. I will be bringing it back to the east midlands weekend after next.

Its done about 5000 miles and is in really good condition and has the following extras;
Comfort pack...ABS, Heated Grips, upgraded computer (gear indicator etc)
Beak on the front mudguard
Hand Guards with wind deflectors
Its also been remapped professionally. This was to get rid of the small glitch in the fueling when you open the throttle slowly, it was driving Kirsty mad during slow speed manoeuvring. Net result is it runs sweet as a nut. The bike will have a new MOT and about 9 months tax.

The bike has been laid down so there are scuffs on the LH handguard. There is also a very small stone chip on the RH body work.

Best offer around the £4750 will do the deal.

It's the last of the 640 adventures. Made in 2007 but registered in 2008.

It has 14000 Km's on the clock.

It has a flat side carb, full akrapovic exhaust system, excel rims with thicker stainless spokes and foam grips over standard spec.

It's just been fitted with a new chain and sprockets this week.

I dropped it into Thomas in mutts nuts leixlip there today so he's looking after the sale for me and will except trade in against it.

I have my Versys for sale with various farkles - 2010 CAF Mk.II with plenty extras fitted

It currently has 22,500 miles on the clock and just a new MOT as of 3 days ago. Always serviced by our workshop. I work at Clevedon Motorcycles so have history for the machine on my system - it's never wanted for anything and has always been fixed and maintained to a tip top standard.

The bike has had an insurance repair on it in the past (2011) due to T-Boning a car pulling out of a junction (they admitted fault). The bike was fully repaired up to showroom condition. Info available about the repair done.

I did drop the bike once more when cornering at approx 20mph and damaged an engine casing and the top left fairing / fog lamp. The fairing has been fully resprayed to new condition, fog lamp will be renewed (currently on back order with supplier) as soon as it arrives and engine casing has been covered with engine case covers from R&G - the case will not rust/rot as it is alloy).

The bike is located in Clevedon, Somerset near Bristol. Viewings available however the bike isn't currently insured or taxed (Sorned) so test rides can only be done in our local street I'm afraid

Tyres 3/4 Worn - will need renewal but can provide pair of Dunlop Qualifiers for £145 fitted (for this transaction only, selling at cost).

Services have been carried out at 4000 mile intervals with oil/filter changes at each interval. Spark plugs also changed every 8k miles.
Clutch rod seal at top of engine casing renewed as it leaked oil - a fault I've never seen before but hasn't happened since.
Clocks pulled apart and given contact cleaning as the buttons stopped working - all fine now.
Fairings pulled apart to try and stop the awful buzzing - Earplugs, louder exhaust and foam padding everywhere has 80% solved the problem.
Callipers rebuilt every year with new seals.

Overall this bike is a good, honest machine and has never wanted for anything. It does have higher mileage and a few rust spots here and there as it's my daily work horse throughout winter too - so please don't expect showroom condition. I've put effort into making sure it's as tip top as I can possibly make it. Mechanically its a sound machine. I've owned it from new.

Sale of bike needed as moved house. Looking for £4000 o.n.o, open to negotiation (would also accept £3500 without farkles) so give me a shout but I'm in no rush to sell for a silly price so be realistic please! Test rides given with full amount cash in hand or your wife, whichever you value less .

6 months tax and MOT'd til August

Starts, stops, goes up and down the gears smoothly and will easily sit at 60mph but I've not used 6th gear too much as i'm mostly riding at around 55mph and I can even find neutral when it's hot. Bridgestone gritty tyres are about half worn and it's got good chain and sprockets well oiled and the brake pads and discs are all good.

All the lights work including panel lights and speedo and rev counter and it has the original mirrors and exhaust.

I bought this bike earlier in the spring to save my GS and it's done everything for me without any problems. Starts on the choke and has a smooth idle and there's no smoke, the battery holds it's charge fine aswell.

Bad points are probably just the odd rusty bolt head and a wee bit surface rust on the frame and a few rusty spokes although I've ACF50'd the bike since I bought it and changed a few bolts to stainless and the nearside fuel tap lever had snapped and I haven't got round to fitting alloy ones. Painted Acerbis tank looks good and the paint hasn't bubbled.

Previous owner had the bike for a few years and has all the m.o.t's and garage receipts for servicing work etc.

Looking for £950 and i'm only selling because I fancy a slightly bigger German girl!

Yeah thanks.... but I've already checked it out on a few forums.
It seems the 120/90 is standard on Tansalps, but you can go up to 130/80 or even a 140 section to give a bigger footprint offroad.
