hi,
just bought one of these fine bikes ,a condor a350 motorbikes, and i wondered if anyone on the forum has any knowledge about these bikes?
well to cut to the chase it runs but i think there is a carb fault as it only runs well with the air valve pulled closest to the rider, starts ok where the line is, but i thought it ought to go the other way?(as in i think the way it is means its running better on full choke )
also would anyone know the standard setting for the carb screws and which main jet is to be used ? have set the screws a turn and a half, as i dont have any info, but it does run.
many thanks
stu

yes it is a little detuned from whats in the ducati. it has a 27mm dellorto carb, and all i am after is a rough idea for the fuel/air screws, as in turns out , as standard ish.

Start at one turn out.

Most bikes are usually somewhere between half and one and a half turns.

Dont know about main Jet (Send an e-mail to Ducati). However standard procedure would apply....

With a warm engine......

1. Get a reasonable tick over by use of the throttle stop..

2. Screw Air screw in or out to get an even running (Usually faster).

3. Lower throttle stop a bit until engine is about to stop...

4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 until steady tick over is achieved...

If the bike has been left standing fer some time you may have petrol gum residue in the small petrol and air holes in the carb...

This will totally mess up the carburation on tick over....
and the engine may well only run with the choke on...

Get this cleaned out by ultrasonics if you can...

Or a new carb...

you are both spot on, carb was full of crap when i stripped it off, and would run best with air valve in on position, so yes would run best rich,
screw was a turn and a quater before stripping down the carb, so will put it back as was and then see what its like from there once carb is clean.
thanks
for your help guys

carb was super easy to clean, and very very easy to set for optimum, ticks over and runs a treat, easy to start now too(luckily as has left hand kick )
thanks again for your help
