Just watched the repeat of Top Gears road trip through Vietnam, saw it first time round and still love it especially when Clarkson falls off!

different styles of show, top gear is contrived naffness of the highest order, i dont bother with the series anymore but i do like the specials, the betheleham, south american, and vietnam ones are good. clarkson is a tit and hambo is his annoying little bitch, but capt slow is great.
thats where our license fee goes but i suppose TG is actually one of those shows that gets exported and makes the beeb a lot of money. it was also a great ad for vietnam, what a great place id love to go.

Just seeing Clarkson sweating on that little scoot is entertainment in itself.

Thats actually my favourite 'special', but it aint no LWR or LWD.
I dont care what anyone else thinks about them, i think both series are brilliant and im sure none of us would turn down their supported trip given half the chance, i certainly wouldnt.

The specials are great, seeing all the trouble they get in and the less than half-arsed attempts at sorting it out.
I enjoy the regular episodes too, I'm pro-Clarkson though lol.

You and me both, not a fan of hammond, but 2 out of three isn't bad. Shame it's only half the lwd/lwr duo that is bearable, cracking programmes other than boorman moaning his way through what i see as the perfect opportunities. That said, big fan of top gear, big fan of lwr/d, and a big green eyed monster over them both!

I watched it and had cramp from laughing, most of the time they're OTT and fekkin ignorant showing no respect for others, but you know they are going to smash or wreck things before the start.
Vietnam though was amazing

No doubt very contrived but still very entertaining. Vietnam is an amazing country in terms of the people, the countryside, and the food.
I went there with a mate in 1999 and backpacked from Ho Chi Minh city to Hanoi. We hired bikes in Hoi An and did some exploring - that was the first time I'd even sat on a bike! Loved the place so much I went back in 2001 for my honeymoon.
The other specials have been good too. I recently had a very surreal viewing of the Iraqi one ... Sitting in the ballroom of the Rotana Hotel in Erbil at a dinner held by the local business group ... They were very proud of it and how it showcased their region.
Hadn't heard the next one was going to be in India but that sounds very interesting ... That's the country were I started to properly ride bikes. Suppose it's too much to hope they're on bikes again .... Will probably be Tuk-Tuks

It is the third time I have watched it and I still laugh out loud. May's comment, when thinking about paying someone who has helped repair his bike, that his dong is wet is hillarious.

Hi Nigel
I find TG the best comedy show on tv, very entertaining. I really fancy Vietnam for a bike tour one day, probably start with small tour of France tho.
Clarkson is a big cock but because of this makes him so funny. As for the other two, I think they'd manage much better without him.
