Hi Louis
Me and Mark did some of your route last year but nowhere near as much off road and no sandy stuff cos we're no good at it.
How come Nicky let you go without taking her ?
Give our regards to Mark and Steve
Cheers
Martin

What can I say an awesome looking and inspiring trip, 'most' jealous despite my own first dip into the Moroccan pool this year. Thanks for your comments, especially since I now know who you are. Best regards

Never enough time and so much to see and experience.
Previously a VStrom 650, and a KTM SMR 950, currently XT600E with many mods. And now a F800GS Trophy since the KTM has gone.

we've shared many a Moroccan trail.
Read about your trip with motoaventures in Morocco today ( great read also great magazine by the way )
This bit made me think of our trip back in April
“Remembering to cut the gas at the crucial moment, to bring the bike to rest on the summit crest. Cut the power too soon and it’s mighty exhausting effort to heave the bike out of sand, turn it to face down, and to the bottom to do it all again.”
This was our first go at getting up this bit and we both gave it lots of gas and with almost 100bhp we were soon going at some speed and both backed off hoping to stop on the crest or hope to roll over it. But surprised me how quick you stop and we both stopped short, great times

Glad you enjoyed the mag Louis, and yes, riding those big dunes is great fun. But not for much longer - I've been told the Moroccan authorities are talking of banning all motor traffic from the Erg

We best go quick then. Bikerhome here we come. (need to sell our daughter and find some leave from somewhere, a sicky for a few weeks might be a bit much in this economic climate.
