TOPIC: Tramp and Hermans Muddy Sunday Rideout....

Tramp and Hermans Muddy Sunday Rideout.... 1 year ago #133689

well with the camp grounds under water and timber (yes andy, timber, big hearty lumber...) arriving for me saturday morning, the wilts muddy weekend reduced to a sunday rideout for me... led in part by both herman and tramp (thanks a lot to both of you).

along also were andy (ACP) and reese and shane (not sure of their user names)... hope you both got back up north okay and your headache's a bit better reese...

the day started off with a coffee at herman's house in eastleigh and then we set off along trails up towards salisbury.. there was a bit of mud which tramp managed to get on the wrong side of as usual.. as it was muddy he fell to the right... but in general the trails were pretty dry... really nice tightish trails through trees and fields...

once we got up to salisbury tramp took the lead and we were on the plain... and it was even a bit dusty which i was not expecting... unfortunately a bit of chalk masquerading as mud bit reese and he took a decent knock to the head which turned into a bit of concussion.. that meant he shane and tramp had to leave a bit early... but myself andy ACP and herman got to hit the woops... and with the bottoms filled with water they were a lot of fun... andy shot off after thos and herman and me re-traced our path back to eastleigh along trails that were even drier than the morning

all up a great day and the sun even came out so thanks again for leading russ and allen

anyway, a video speaks a thousand words so hope you enjoy a short vid of the day - unfortunately a bit of wood got stuck under the mount so it's pointed a little down and there's a lot of my helmet in it... umm and to be clear the wood was a splinter and the helmet was on my head...

Hi "muddy fellows"

it was a great "Rescue weekend" considering the campsite was flooded and a big thanks to those who came down and up and across well worth the trip I think..

On the saturday we did the Fosseway and round Avebury with Boboneleg as leader and then across through "bluebell wood" WOW was the universal responce fast 50mph forest tracks with plenty sliding and ..then across the plain to find it so dry but still huge puddles ..

Hey guys.

Shame I missed Saturday. My mother decided to inflict salmonella upon herself and I had to look after the kids Those trails are great and I really enjoyed the recce with Tramp back when it was dry...

Twas a good craic on Sunday with Herman leading the way after an early morning cuppa at his. Some of the trails were narrow others were muddy and rutted. All were excellent and the mighty KTM only decided it needed a lie down once
