TOPIC: Reccomend me a...... Small Tankbag

Reccomend me a...... Small Tankbag 10 months, 2 weeks ago #149627

As the title suggests im after a small tankbag. Just for a few small things: camera, letherman, torch, rag. My tank is steel so it can be magnetic, although i have been advised to try and get a tankbag that i dont have to completely remove in order to fuel up. Also it could do with being waterproof or at least water resistant to give me time to get the camera out. Plus i could do with it being relatively cheap. I've seen these SW motech ones with a quick removal thing which would be ideal but theyre silly money for me on my little YBR.

So any suggestions/reccomendations would be welcome.

Givi do a magnetic base small tankbag, made of that semi-hard ergonomic material stuff (great description) and will take just what your after with an additional strap for round the steering head giving additional security, but I dont use it.

www.bikebitzuk.co.uk/givi-t409-magnetic-tank-bag-p-6358.html

This is the one I have, being discontinued I assume as its not on the Givi site anymore. They also do a newer range that secures to the petrol cap ring with a QR.

If that's all you're going to put in it I wouldn't bother - just use your pockets

I use a Bagster City Trail pack - 12 ltrs and has waterproof cover but I get much more than you want to put in - I suspect it will be almost the size of your tank

I have a Aldi one that zips in half and one half can be used as a small tankbag and the other half a rucksack. Together they make a large tankbag. Cant remember the cost. But it was under £15 i think.

Does this ammount of stuff warrant a tankbag?
