Is anyone using the Trax 38l top box by SW Motech?

I have the Suzuki branded top box made by SW Motech on my DL650 and want to also use it on another motorcycle so bought the SW motech TraX Evo Topbox Adaptor

All looked fine until i tried to mount the box onto the adaptor and find the mounts are in the wrong place

The adaptor plate supplied is 190mm between front and rear mounts...

Where as my top box is around 175mm...

And leaves the rear mounts not seated...

Does anyone have a SW Motech Trax box they could measure the mounts on?????

Thanks in advance

Karl

Thanks for taking the time Jed....Looks like the Suzuki box could have a different mounting then?

I may be grasping at straw's but just doing a bit of research and it seems there are 2 types of Trax box tho, is yours the origional Trax with a decal or the later Trax Evo like below with the logo embossed? (could the mountings be different?)

Thanks again

Mines the same as the picture you have posted. Which as you say is the later one. Looking at the bottom of your box, I would try and extend the slots of the two closest to the catch, with a Dremil or something similar.

Thanks again for the quick reply, i need to keep the box mounts standard 175mm as i still use it on my V-Strom carrier, to confuse matters i have just seen this post where it seems the earlier box fits onto a Suzuki mount (175mm)...

As an owner of a TraxTop box as well as side panniers a little tip. Be patient with the locks and keys, as although very sturdy and secure, they are a little clunky and if forced, the keys will bend and snap so wiggle and twist rather than go at it as a bull in a china shop

Morning Karl, If you only extend the front slots it would still fit your Vstrom as the back slots would keep it in the correct postion. As Cozmo said look after the locks keep them well lubricated.
