Touratech desierto 10 months, 3 weeks ago #145945

im quite keen on purcashing the desierto screen for my 30 years F800. i was just wondering if it was a nightmare to fit as im a bit clumsy with these things. also wondering if there is such a thing as getting a discount from TT as i dont want to pay the £580 for the screen but will do if i cant get it cheaper.

thanks guys. i just think the desierto looks awesome. i wouldnt change the stock screen for any other. its purely cosmetic, not too fussed about wind on the stock screen,

Fitted a Desierto 3 to my GSA30 a couple of months back and i'm very pleased with the look and how the screen/fairing performs.

It was a wee bit fiddly to fit on the 1200GSA but by using some silicone sealant I didn't need that 'third hand' that often comes in handy when you're working on your own!

The Desierto costs a small fortune and i wouldn't have bought one unless I'd sold a lot of my surplus bike stuff but if i ever sold it on it's good to know that Touratech accessories can sell for 70% of their new price!

your absolutely right, its an accessory id love to get but its alot of money to throw at a screen!

Re: Touratech desierto 10 months, 3 weeks ago #146136

It's more than just a screen though and now i've got a Desierto 3 instead of any old 1200GSA 30 Year Anniversary......!

With the new 'angular' steel headlamp protector it looks like a real sh*tkickers bike aswell and I like the new menacing tough look!

On the 800GS i think the Desierto looks good but it looks like you get a much bigger fairing on the 1200GS for much the same money......!

I have the Britannia composite on mine, www.britanniacomposites.com/ I really like it, great protection when up and out of the way when down for off road.
